The Shepherd

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want; Jesus provides for our needs.

He gives our life meaning. O What marvelous love.

He makes me lie down in green pastures; He pried loose the burden of sin, and planted seeds of grace.

He leads me beside the still waters; God is leading us. We need not worry, because He is in control.

He restores my soul; Jesus gives us hope, love, joy and peace.

He leads me in the path of righteousness; this path is narrow and we need God’s Word to guide us. Reading the Bible and attending Bible study is a start.

For His name’s sake; God likes to hear us call His name. (Our Father).

Yea though I walk through the valley of shadow of death; God keeps us under His wings so we will not fall.

I will fear no evil; Put your trust in the Shepherd; do not be afraid
Thou art with me; God’s greatest promise is “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

Your rod and staff they comfort me; A Shepherd knows his sheep by name and Jesus knows our names for He is faithful and we need to trust him.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; God guides us and brings us peace from our adversities.

You anoint my head with oil; God will give to those who cry out to him with a humble heart. He will hear your prayer.

My cup runs over; God will pour showers of blessings upon us.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
Goodness to supply our needs and mercy to forgive every sin. Hold on to His hand and He will lead you through this life.

I dwell in the house of the Lord forever; our home for eternity.

God never said the journey would be easy, but heaven will be worth it.

Let the Lord surround you with His presence. Follow the good Shepherd. Trust Jesus to lead you home.
