  Greg Njaim
  Treasurer

By the grace of God, I became a Christian in the summer of 1993. Shortly thereafter, the Lord led me to the North Cove Church of God (the former Heritage Church of God). As a Christian, the Lord laid on my heart the ministry of “HELPS”. This is reflected in my current involvement in finances (treasurer and finance chairperson), church council, and music (piano, keyboard, choir) and some visitation.

I thank GOD for allowing me to serve in these areas and I give Him all the, praise, honor, and glory.

God Bless, Greg

Pastor & Mrs. Lewis Kujawski

I began my spiritual journey about age 6, when our family began attending the Dorr Street Church of God.  I accepted Christ at age 13, and soon dedicated my life to the Christian ministry.  I attended Anderson College and Theological Seminary.  While there I married Carol, who I had been dating since a Junior in High School.  She attended the Maumee Church of God, and hoped to be a missionary.  We have been married 54 years.   I  served 40 years of ministry, mostly in Illinois.  I have helped to build 3 churches, doing all the electrical work in Granite City, IL, and all the plumbing work in Shorewood, IL.  I also enjoy woodworking as a hobby.
When I retired from ministry, I came back to Toledo, and discovered I was not really retired, and probably never will.  I enjoy doing what I can in the church, without the pressure of being Senior Pastor.

God Bless, Lewis & Carol

Pastor Michael Long
Minister of Music

I grew up in the West 11th Street Church of God in Houston, TX and accepted Christ as my Savior through the children’s ministry there.  In the summer of 1992 my family moved to Oklahoma City.  In January 1993, I began college at Mid-America Bible College.  My connection with the Church of God in the state of Ohio began in the summer of 1994 while on a camp team from Mid-America I came to Payne Camp Meeting.  It was during that week in Payne I accepted my call to ministry and met my wife Jennifer.  In 1996 we were married, and lived in Oklahoma City.  We returned to northwest Ohio in June of 1999 after I finished my schooling at Mid-America.

I began my ministry at Free Christian Church of God in Continental, Ohio, in the year 2000. God used the twelve years we spent at Free Christian to grow us both spiritually and in ministry. While at Free Christian our family grew. Our daughter Allison was born in 2005, and our first son Andrew was born in 2008.  This past fall we felt the Lord calling us to a new adventure.  We knew we were going to miss the family that had loved and supported us so much at Free Christian, but knew that God was in the changes to come.  In January we began that new adventure when we accepted the call to Heritage Church of God in Maumee, Ohio.  Right after Easter this year our family expanded once more as we welcomed Austin into our family.  In October we celebrated once more, as I was ordained as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

My passion and calling is to see people embrace a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as I help lead our congregation into His presence.  Through His help and guidance I desire to use the talents the Lord has given me to accomplish this calling.  I am so thankful that the Lord sent Jennifer into my life to complete our ministry together. Jennifer loves leading our children’s choir and is integrally involved in the worship ministries. Over the past year we have grown to love the people at Heritage.  We believe that God is using us to further His ministry here and are excited to see how He is going to continue to use us in His ministry at Heritage Church of God.

Administrative Assistant

I was born and raised in Defiance, Ohio.   I currently live in Perrysburg.   I married my high school sweetheart, Scott Dunckel and we have 3 wonderful children, Abbey, Adam and Camille.  As long as I can remember I have been attending the Church of God.  My father was an Associate Pastor for the Church of God while I was growing up.

I have worked here at Heritage Church of God since July 2002.  I love my job but most of all I love the people.  We are a very friendly church.   I welcome you to come and visit us or call; I would love to talk with you about our ministries here at Heritage Church.

May God Bless You,
Mary Dunckel

Penny Drain
Church Administrator

I grew up in Portage, Ohio, a very small town south of Bowling Green, and have lived in the Toledo area all of my life.  As a child and young adult, I attended a United Methodist Church with my family and have many fond memories of my church and home life.   At the age of 12 I accepted the Lord while attending summer camp.

Immediately following graduation from Bowling Green High School, I started my professional career in the Bowling Green City School System.  Except for a short time, I have always worked in administration in higher education; for eight years at Bowling Green State University and 30 years at the former Medical College of Ohio where I retired as Assistant to the President.    God’s greatest blessing to me was the birth of my daughter, Nanette.  That blessing continues to grow with my son-in-law, David, my step-grandson, Dave, and my grandson, Benjamin.  My cup overflows.

My praise and thanks go to God for placing me at the Heritage Church of God.   I have truly found a huge family of Godly and caring friends.   My goal each day is to do the best for God in the administration of the Church business and I depend on Him to lead me.

God Bless, Penny
